coron village lodge

our trip to coron palawan august of last year was arranged by my sister and her friend. there were 9 of us in the trip and they thought it'd be better to avail of a packaged tour. so, after several considerations and inquiries, we availed of the tour through coron eco adventures. for a 4D/3N package, we paid PhP6,670 each (roughly $160), and the package had the following inclusions:
  • 3 nights accommodation
  • Daily Breakfast / 3 Lunches / 2 Snacks
  • 1 day Coron Island Loop Tour
  • 1 day Calauit Safari Tour
  • Mt. Tapyas and Hot Spring Tour
  • Entrance fees to all destinations
  • Services of a guide
  • Airport van transfer
  • Welcome drink
  • Free-flowing coffee
  • Free wifi at the resto
  • Accident insurance*
  • (*Insurance does not include scuba diving. Insurance does not include guests 60 years old and above, and children less than 5 years old)

reception(l). garden(r). pardon the picture quality. we arrived at the lodge in the evening. they're the only picture i have of the place as it didn't occur to me to take a picture of those areas in the day time.
according to their website, coron village lodge is originally a 5-room family house before they turned it into a lodge. the original house, which occupies the right side of the street (coming from the town center/airport), is where you will find their reception, lush garden, and restaurant. as of writing, cvl has 25 rooms and a 5-door apartment complex. behind where our group photo was taken is the reception area, and to its right by way of a wooden staircase is the lodge's restaurant. across the street is where you'll find their other rooms and souvenir shop.

the above pictures are the rooms at the opposite side of the street. the picture on the left is a view towards the street in front while the picture on the right is a view with your back facing the street. yup, it's one big compound that ends with that 2-story lime green building

my sister and i, together with our other 2 companions stayed at the last room just before you go up the steps leading towards that reddish iron/steel staircase in the previous picture set above.

our room is a triple room where there's 1 double bed and a single bed. the room can also accommodate an extra bed, making the room enough for 4 people. it is air-conditioned with basic bathroom and tv set.

the last picture on the right is lifted from coron village's website. click on the picture to direct you to their website for your inquiries regarding room reservations or tour bookings.
